The Mati | Evil Eye Pendant | Vicky DeRosa

The Mati

You lock your doors,
why leave your energy
unprotected?

Evil eye

We live in a world that asks us to believe everything important is invisible. That intention lives in our thoughts.

That care is something we feel. That transformation happens through ideas alone. But humans have always known something else to be true as well.

Why it exists

Energy anchors in objects (and places)

That’s why we wear rings when we commit. Why we light candles when we pray. Why we keep photographs, stones, talismans. Why tangible things help us remember what matters.

There is power in holding something real.

Greek tradition

The mati is a symbol of watching over

Evil eye

In Greek culture, the evil eye, the mati, is not just jewelry.

It is protection, intention, and care made tangible.

For centuries, Greek women have given the mati to those they love: to daughters, friends, and women entering new chapters. Not as superstition, but as a way of saying: I see you. I’m watching over you. You matter. This is a symbol that carries meaning. And now, it’s yours.

Meaning

Why we’re giving it

You matter to us. For over 20 years, we’ve taught a simple truth: Beauty starts from within, the body deserves reverence, and vitality is cultivated through care. The mati is our way of honouring that. We want you to receive one, handmade, given with intention, and offered freely. As gratitude.

Because your presence here matters to me.

How to wear it

How to use it

Wear it with intention

Place it over your heart as a reminder: your body is a temple.

Wear it daily. Carry it as protection, as a daily practice of choosing care over criticism.

Gift it when the time feels right. The mati is meant to be shared. A reminder to others that they are seen.

Evil eye

A reminder

Your body is a temple

The mati is meant to be held, worn, and remembered. Not to eliminate difficulty, but to help you return to care.

Wear it. Honour it. Pass it on when the time is right.

A note from Vicky

Evil eye

My γιαγιά gave me my first mati when I was seven.
She placed it around my neck and said:
“This will watch over you when I cannot.” I wore it through every chapter of my life,
through modelling, through blindness, through recovery, through building this company and raising my children.
It didn’t prevent hardship.
But it reminded me, every day, that I was worthy of care.
That’s what I want for you.
A reminder that your body deserves reverence.
That beauty is an inside job.

That you are worthy, right now, of protection and intention.
Wear it.
Honour it.
Pass it on when the time is right.

With much gratitude,
Vicky
